Straight from the Horse's Mouth
800 children and only 40 childcare providers, whew. No wonder they only get one or two diaper changes a day. Pay close attention to the part about what happens to the children with Down syndrome. This is why we are saving Mallory and Peach.

What troubles me the most, if I understand the culture correctly, is that this is a problem that has been manufactured by social stigma. The kids with Ds are unwanted just because they are unwanted. SImple as that. And so they are cast away, and apparently people are okay with that - they just move on with their lives. And now those children get to be your burden. And mine. Because I can't stop thinking about them.
