What She Saw There

"We showed up unannounced one day at the orphanage. All the children were in the big wooden playpen. They were all tied to the slots of the playpen so they couldn't move. No wonder they didn't want us to come in the room." - Jodi

They spend the first four years of their lives in these orphanages, then the rest of their lives in mental institutions.

It does not have to be that way.

Those are the images that haunt my dreams. I wish we could bring many more than 1 home.

We had been deciding if we could make Reeces Rainbow work for us. We found out the baby girl we wanted in New York, we did not get, and that over 500 people applied. DS kids here in the US are fine, we need to help the kidos oversea's. Thats why we just committed to Joy. I've never been more excited and scared at the same time. Now I need some serious fundraising help!

I can't even find words...my heart aches for these kids. I am praying for them, and for things to work out with the Russian government so that adoptions can go through without problems again. Bless you for being a strong voice for those who don't have one.
